Matteo & Valentina

A Wedding at Tenuta Pantano Borghese

Before their wedding day at Tenuta Pantano Borghese, Matteo and Valentina and I had already shared an important part of their story: their engagement video.

That first experience gave us the chance to get to know each other away from the excitement and expectations of the wedding day. It allowed me to understand their way of being together, their natural connection, and the small gestures that make their relationship unique.

When the wedding day finally arrived, everything felt more spontaneous. There was already a sense of familiarity, which made it easier to capture the moments as they naturally unfolded.

The First Chapter: Their Engagement Video

The engagement shoot became the first chapter of Matteo and Valentina’s wedding story.

Away from the rhythm and pressure of the wedding day, they could simply be themselves. No complicated poses, no need to perform for the camera — just two people enjoying their time together.

For me, this was more than a pre-wedding video. It was an opportunity to discover their personalities and create a connection that would become valuable when filming their wedding.

That familiarity made a difference. On the wedding day, the camera could remain discreet, allowing real emotions and spontaneous interactions to take centre stage.

A Wedding at Tenuta Pantano Borghese

The wedding day unfolded with the same natural energy we had discovered during the engagement shoot.

From the getting ready to the ceremony, every moment was captured with a discreet and documentary approach. Matteo’s emotion, Valentina’s radiant smile, the reactions of family and friends — these were the details that gave the day its own rhythm.

The celebration continued at Tenuta Pantano Borghese, a beautiful setting surrounded by greenery and an elegant atmosphere.

As the light changed throughout the afternoon, the venue became part of the story itself. The warm tones of sunset, the details of the reception and the moments shared outdoors created a natural visual atmosphere for the wedding film.

Capturing the Moments That Matter

A wedding film is built from more than the big moments.

Of course, there is the ceremony, the first dance and the celebration. But there are also the quieter details: a look between the couple, a laugh shared with a friend, an embrace from a family member, or a moment of anticipation before walking down the aisle.

These are the moments I look for when filming a wedding.

My aim is to remain as unobtrusive as possible, allowing the day to happen naturally rather than asking the couple to recreate it for the camera.

For Matteo and Valentina, this approach allowed the film to reflect not only how their wedding looked, but also how it felt to be there.

From Engagement to Wedding Film

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was bringing together the engagement video and the wedding film.

The two experiences were different, but they became part of the same story.

The engagement shoot showed Matteo and Valentina in a quieter and more intimate setting. Their wedding day brought together their families, friends and all the emotions of such an important celebration.

During the editing process, these different moments became part of a coherent visual narrative.

Music, natural audio, intimate details and spontaneous reactions were combined to create a film that feels personal rather than staged — a wedding film designed to bring them back to the atmosphere of the day whenever they watch it again.

For Matteo and Valentina, their wedding film is not simply a collection of beautiful images.

It is the continuation of a story that began with their engagement video and grew into a day shared with the people closest to them.

That is what I wanted to preserve: the connection between them, the atmosphere of Tenuta Pantano Borghese, and all those fleeting moments that made their wedding truly theirs.
