For Gimmy and Christina, that journey led them from San Diego to Rome, where they chose the Eternal City as the setting for their destination wedding in Italy.

Their wedding brought together different cultures, family traditions and personal stories, creating a celebration that felt deeply intimate while also embracing everything that makes a destination wedding in Rome so unique: history, architecture, light and an unmistakable sense of place.

A Wedding Ceremony on the Aventine Hill

The day began with the wedding ceremony at the Basilica of Saints John and Paul on Rome’s Aventine Hill.

Qui, in mezzo alla luce naturale e all'architettura delicatamente filtrata nella storia, si è svolta una cerimonia intensa, intima e profondamente commovente. Gli sguardi, i silenzi, le mani che raggiungono: ogni momento sembrava sospeso nel tempo.

As a filmmaker, my goal was not simply to document, but to convey the truth of those moments. The soft light, the slow movements, the natural sounds and the rhythm of the scene: everything was designed to tell the story without constraint.

From the Heart of Rome to Tenuta di Ripolo

Dopo la cerimonia ci siamo trasferiti alla splendida Tenuta di Ripolo, una location immersa nella natura che accoglie gli ospiti con un'atmosfera calda, raffinata e autentica.

Qui, il matrimonio ha assunto una nuova forma: più libero, più festivo, più vivace. Le luci del tramonto, i brindisi, le risate, i balli... ogni scena incarna la perfetta fusione dell'eleganza italiana e dello spirito internazionale.

A Destination Wedding Shaped by Two Cultures

For Gimmy and Christina, Italy was not simply the backdrop to their wedding. Rome became part of the experience itself: the history surrounding the ceremony, the atmosphere of the city and the warmth of the celebration all became elements of their story.

In questo caso, ogni elemento—dalla cerimonia alla reception—era un autentico riflesso della coppia. E il video divenne il mezzo per preservare tutto questo nel tempo.
